The Living Creature After His Kind: Day 6

I haven’t conclusively decided what day 6 is going to be about…I don’t imagine blogging a lot about beasts of the land (who knows…)

For today, I’m going to focus on the community aspect of “creature after his kind”: The
Blue Jay Lake Farm. This place looks amazing.

When our dreams were young, we imagined that we would like to become self-sufficient. We would live and work on a farm, and learn how to use the land to supply our needs. Now our dreams have matured, and although we love farming, we no longer have the desire to be self-sufficient. Self-sufficiency is too isolating, and far too much work! Now, we’d like to be community dependent. We’d like to live in community with others, sharing in the work and pleasures of the farm, and be linked into the greater community of Cortes Island.

I’m not sure that it’s in the near future for me, but I love the idea.
